Residential Care

Restorative Nursing
Restorative Nursing
Restorative nursing is the link between therapy and nursing aimed at maintaining
optimal physical, mental and psychosocial functioning. A restorative plan
of care is formulated and implemented to improve or maintain optimal wellness
and the functional potential of each resident. Burgess Square’s
integrated restorative program involves everyone. Although the restorative
program is coordinated by our nursing department, each staff member is
part of the interdisciplinary team.
Residential
Activities

Burgess Square’s programs encompass a wide range of activities
and services. These programs are planned and carried out by the care
team of staff, family, residents and volunteers. They are designed
to meet the needs of the residents as the resident defines them. In
other words, the programs are developed with the residents, not for
them.
